• Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:  Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
  
  
• Surgical Services:  Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures, from spays and neuters to major orthopedic procedures.  We offer cutting edge technology with the use of surgical laser equipment available with most surgeries.  If needed, a board certified veterinary specialty surgeon is available for the more complex cases.
  
  
• Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high risk patients.  Preanesthetic blood testing is available and recommended prior to any anesthetic procedure.  Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures with some of the most modern anesthetic monitoring equipment available in veterinary medicine.
  
  
• Radiology Services:  Our on-site, state of the art digital X-ray equipment provides the highest quality radiographs available in veterinary medicine today to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of many disorders.  Digital radiology also allows for rapid consultations with radiography specialists.  Ultrasound services can be scheduled for those patients requiring cardiac or abdominal echos.
  
  
• Electrocardiography Services:  We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.  Every surgical patient's electrocardiograph (as well as other parameters) is monitored throughout every surgical procedure.
  
  
• Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing.  Most results can be recieved in less than ten minutes. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
  
  
• Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet.
  
  
• Dentistry:  Our dental services include ultrasonic teeth cleaning and polishing, full mouth digital dental radiographs, tooth extractions and oral surgery.  All dental prophylaxis include application of OraVet Barrier Sealant.
  
  
• Individualized Flea Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.
  
  
• Dietary Counseling:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.  Now available is Slentrol, a weight loss medication for dogs.
  
  
• Behavioral Counseling:  We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.
  
  
• Pet Resort:  There is no place better for your pets to stay while your away than your veterinary hospital.  All guests receive personal attention from our caring staff.  Guests vacationing with us for longer than one week will recieve a complementary bath prior to going home.  Pets may be admitted and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday.
  
  
• Bathing:  Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available.  All include nails trimmed and a gentle ear cleaning with our cleansing solution.
  
  
• Emergency Care:  During regular business hours please call (239) 369-0555 for any emergencies to notify us that you are coming.  After regular business hours in the evenings or weekends, please call the Emergency Veterinary Clinic in Fort Myers at (239) 939-5542.
