Mushu November Patient of the Month

Mushu is a four year old pug that presented with a large mass on her left rear leg. Surgery was performed and the mass removed. The mass was sent out for analysis and the results showed that the mass was a mast cell tumor. The mass was so large that Mushu needed to have daily bandage changes to help keep the surgical area healthy. The leg was just not healing properly and there was fear of the tumor spreading, so the doctors decided it best to amputate the leg. Today Mushu is doing wonderful, so much that you wouldn't know that she had her leg amputated just two weeks ago.
